The Station Inn Oxenholme hosted a Family Fun Day to raise funds for Bay Trust Radio, the hospital radio station based at the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal. The event was well-attended, with visitors on the day raising over £2,000 for the charity.
Linda Gentle, licensee of The Station Inn, was thrilled with the turnout and support from the community. “It was great to see locals supporting a brilliant event. The weather stayed dry for the outdoor portion of the event before it moved inside at 4 pm, and to finish the day off, Big Trouble entertained the customers. A massive thank you to everyone that attended.”
John Williamson, President and Vice Chair of Bay Trust Radio, expressed his gratitude towards The Station Inn and the community for their support. “We are extremely pleased that the event went according to plan, and we are over the moon with the amount raised. Our thanks go out to all that visited The Station Inn and the hard work that Linda and Andrew Gentle, Craig James, and all the staff who work extremely hard to make the event a success.”
