Join Us

We are on the lookout for enthusiastic and dedicated people to join our team of volunteers!

As a volunteer you can get involved with as much or as little as you want, although we do ask for a minimum commitment of a few hours of your time each week.

The station is based at the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal, with additional facilities at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and the option to conduct some roles remotely.

We can give you full training and you will help make a difference to your local community, have fun, meet great people and gain experience.

You must be aged 16 years or over to join. You must be committed and reliable, giving your time on a regular basis.

Thanks for your interest and we hope to welcome you as a new member very soon!

More Information

We have vacancies for volunteers across our radio station. The vacancies include journalism, sports team, technical assistants, producers, presenting, fundraising and behind-the-scenes work. Our charity covers South Cumbria and North Lancashire, so there’s plenty to do!

All volunteers are required to take part in fundraising events from time-to-time. You can read more about our station history and our Executive Committee on our website.

Our service is available online through our website, apps and smart speakers as well as inside hospitals across the area. We broadcast to the following hospitals: Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal.
