Successful Start to Fundraising Year at The Station Inn, Oxenholme

The Station Inn in Oxenholme kicked off its 2025 fundraising calendar in style with a well-attended Pie and Pea Supper and Quiz Night held on Good Friday. The event was a great success, raising an impressive £687.50 towards the Inn’s ambitious annual fundraising target of £6,000.

The evening brought together members of the local community for a night of great food, friendly competition, and community spirit. The event was hosted by Linda and Andrew Gentle and supported by the dedicated team at The Station Inn. A special thank you goes to Quiz Master Chris Henderson for delivering an entertaining and engaging quiz.

“When Linda and I planned the events for the year, she shared the goal of raising £6,000 in 2025 for local causes,” said the event organiser. “To have raised nearly £700 from our very first event is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the generosity and enthusiasm of our community.”

The Station Inn’s fundraising efforts continue with its Family Fun Weekend, taking place from Saturday, May 24th to Monday, May 26th. The weekend will feature a range of family-friendly activities, and community members are warmly invited to attend.

Donations of prizes for the event’s raffle and tombola are welcome and can be dropped off directly at The Station Inn. Community support is key to the success of these events, and contributions of any kind are greatly appreciated.
