Forecast: Very windy. Area of rain, initially snow above 600m, clearing to the east towards dawn. Occasional showers at first easing into the afternoon as the brighter spells increase, but this will be largely academic in the hazardous winds.
View: The dominant weather element will be the hazardous winds with severe gale to storm force winds making forward progress difficult to impossible, with gusts in excess of 100mph possible.

Visibility: Good falling moderate or poor in rain, very poor in snow and within cloud with bases occasional from 500m at dawn, before lifting and breaking for the afternoon
