Woman injured in Kentish Town attack after ‘substance’ thrown at her

A woman is being treated in hospital after a “substance” was thrown at her in an attack in north London.
Emergency crews were called to Kentish Town shortly before 7am on Thursday following reports that a woman had been injured.
Police said the victim in her 30s was hurt after a “substance” was thrown at her and her skin was doused with water at the scene.
She was taken to a central London hospital and police say her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the substance used in the attack is not believed to have been acid.
London Ambulance Service said it sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and a hazardous area response team to the scene.
“We treated a woman at the scene and took her to hospital,” a spokeswoman added.
No one has been arrested over the incident as yet.
