Two people were injured and several homes evacuated after a car crashed into a house.
Neighbours were ordered to leave their homes when it emerged there was a possible gas leak after the car damaged an outside meter.
The Vauxhall Astra ploughed into the house in Grovehill Road, Beverley, East Yorkshire on Sunday at about 10.40am.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area after several surrounding roads had to be closed.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said gas engineers later declared the scene to be safe and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
It is not known whether those hurt were in the house or the car but Humberside Police said their injuries were minor.
