Tom Brady under fire for cliff jumping with six-year-old daughter

American football star Tom Brady has been branded “irresponsible” after posting a video of himself cliff jumping with his six-year-old daughter.
The NFL superstar is seen grabbing his daughter Vivian’s hand and counting to three before jumping off the small cliff next to a waterfall.
He captioned the video: “If Vivi is going to be an Olympic champion one day, it probably won’t be in synchronized diving.
“Daddy always gives her a 10 though.”
Some social media users accused Brady of putting his daughter in danger, claiming she fell near rocks.
One Instagram user wrote: “My God! That child could have broke (sic) her arm of even worse!!!!!!”
Another said the jump was “not smart at all” and some users said the young girl had seemed hesitant to jump.
Even Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson commented, writing: “You KNOW I have complete faith in you as a man, friend, player and father – but this just gave me anxiety. Geeezus.”
Professional surfer Kelly Slater wrote, “That shoulder ok?”, perhaps referring to the six-year-old’s landing.
But others rushed to the defence of the New England Patriots quarterback, saying critics needed to “stop being so sensitive”.
One person wrote: “I see nothing wrong. Child was not danger (sic). I remember being taken to high dive by a sister and tossed. I survived. No biggie.
“Kid now knows how to conquer fears and not run to mommy and daddy when life gets tough.”
Another said: “Best father daughter moments are the ones when dad teaches daughter to conquer her fears, otherwise she will never fly!”
Brady has not publicly commented on the criticism
In addition to Vivian, Brady and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, also have a son. Brady also have a son from a previous relationship.
He previously told Good Morning America he was trying to get Vivian involved in sports.
“I’m trying to get her into hockey,” he said. “My wife’s like, ‘Over my dead body, you’re not putting her out there!'”
