Thorpe Park: Man charged after stabbing at Surrey attraction

Written by on 22/07/2020

A suspect has been charged after a man was injured in a stabbing at Thorpe Park.

Two groups of people were involved in an altercation on the bridge close to the exit of the theme park in Chertsey, Surrey, on Saturday afternoon.

A 26-year-old man was treated for an injury to his stomach and is now recovering at home. Nobody else was injured.

Craig Harakh, also 26, from Lambeth, London, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon over the knife attack on 18 July.

Harakh has been remanded in custody and will appear at Staines Magistrates’ Court by videolink on Wednesday.

Thorpe Park reopened earlier this month on 4 July after being shut due to the coronavirus pandemic.
