Here’s the full list of winners at the 2019 BAFTA awards.

For the first time this year the BAFTA film awards has made it mandatory for films competing in two categories – outstanding British film and outstanding debut – to comply with two out of four of the British Film Institute’s diversity standards.

Marking that commitment to diversity, a non-English language film won best picture – and a film predominantly featuring women took home more awards than any others.

Here is the full list of winners:

Best film – Roma

Alfonso Cuaron’s semi-autobiographical story of his own upbringing in Mexico City, follows the life of a live-in housekeeper of a middle-class family.

Outstanding British film – The Favourite

The Favourite is a period drama set in the court of Queen Anne, examining the battle between two cousins attempting to win her favour.

Leading actress – Olivia Colman, The Favourite

Olivia Colman portrayed Queen Anne in a widely applauded performance that won her a BAFTAs for best leading actress.

Leading actor – Rami Malek, Bohemian Rhapsody

Rami Malek won the leading actor award for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the film about the rock band Queen.

Supporting actress – Rachel Weisz, The Favourite

Rachel Weisz portrayed the historical figure of Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough, the adviser and lover of Queen Anne.

Supporting actor – Mahershala Ali, Green Book

Mahershala Ali won an award for his portrayal of real-life pianist Don Shirley in Green Book, a biographical comedy-drama about an African-American jazz musician and his Italian-American bodyguard.

Director – Alfonso Cuaron, Roma

Alfonso Cuaron’s black-and-white film about his childhood in Mexico City was praised for the veteran’s direction.
