Ruby Rose shares surgery video after potentially paralysing stunt injury

Batwoman star Ruby Rose has revealed she had to undergo emergency surgery following a stunt injury which could have left her paralysed.
The actress, also known for Orange Is The New Black, shared a video of the surgery on her Instagram page, saying she had two slipped discs which were close to severing her spinal cord.
Warning: The video below is graphic and includes close-up shots of surgery being carried out.
“A couple of months ago I was told I needed an emergency surgery or I was risking becoming paralyzed,” she wrote in a post thanking her doctor.
“I had herniated two discs doing stunts, and they were close to severing my spinal chord. I was in chronic pain and yet couldn’t feel my arms… Thank you Dr Bray for everything you did and for allowing me to keep working and doing what I love. I am forever in your debt.”
The star also addressed why she had chosen to film the surgery, saying: “And to anyone asking why I let them video it.. Did you not watch that Greys anatomy episode where they left a towel in a patient??
“Also I wanted to see what happens when we go under.”
