Romford: Man and woman die in eight-vehicle crash

A man and a woman have died in an eight-vehicle collision in east London, firefighters have said.
A pedestrian was also involved in the incident, London Fire Brigade (LFB) added.
The pair who lost their lives were pronounced dead at the scene on Squirrels Heath Road in Romford.
Three people trapped in their cars were taken to hospital after being released by fire crews.
A further four people were also taken for treatment.
LFB said it spent two hours working on the incident after being called at 1.19pm.
Three fire engines and two rescue units were called in.
Severe traffic delays are expected, police said, with road closures in place.
