Rapper Unknown T charged with murder over New Year’s party stabbing

Rapper Unknown T has been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of a man at a New Year’s party in north London last year.
The drill musician, real name Daniel Previous Lena, is also accused of violent disorder in connection with the death, which happened at a flat in Bartholomew Court, Islington, in the early hours of 1 January 2018.
Steven Narvaez-Jara was found suffering stab wounds and died at the scene, near Old Street station.
The 20-year-old, from Belvedere, which straddles London and Kent, was the first stabbing victim of the year in the capital, but it was quickly followed by another three in the space of just a few days.
Lena, who is considered an upcoming star of the drill scene and performed at Wireless Festival earlier this month, was arrested in the days after the murder alongside Ramani Boreland.
Both men are from Hackney, with Lena, 19, of Staveley Close and Boreland, 20, of Ambleside Close.
Mohammed Musse, 20, of Spotter House, Berger Road, Hackney, was arrested on the day.
All three suspects were bailed after being released under investigation last November, but police issued them with charges via postal requisition on 6 July.
Lena and Boreland were charged with murder and violent disorder, with Musse charged solely of violent disorder.
They will all appear a magistrates’ court on Thursday.
The label Lena is signed to, Island Records, which is part of Universal Music Group, declined to comment on his charges when contacted.
They come after a big year for the rapper, who found mainstream success last summer with Homerton B, which reached number 48 in the UK charts.
He was also invited on stage at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena by Drake during his UK tour.
Police are continuing to investigate the murder, which happened at around 2.35am.
Another man at the address was also found with stab wounds, but was taken to hospital and recovered.
