New voluntary Cafe to open in the Westmorland General Hospital

After the decision by Royal Voluntary Service to close the café in the Day Hospital today Friday (17th March) at the Westmorland General Kendal from Monday (20th March) a new Westmorland Cafe Opens , Run by Hospital Volunteers in partnership with the UHMBT catering department.
The cafe will be open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and will offer a variety of drinks and snacks.
The Westmorland Cafe is not your average cafe, as all profits go directly to the hospital trust to enhance the patient experience. Customers can feel good about indulging in the excellent choice of coffees, teas, and the house special hot chocolate, knowing that their purchase supports a good cause.
The menu features a full range of sandwiches, salad boxes, confectionery, hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes, fresh fruit salad, and seasonal goods. The cafe also offers a range of second-hand books and DVDs for sale.
The Westmorland Cafe is a great place to grab a quick snack or relax with friends over a hot beverage. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make it the perfect place to take a break from a busy day. Plus, with the added benefit of supporting the hospital trust, customers can feel good about their purchases.
