M25 closed in Surrey after three-vehicle collision involving ambulance

The M25 motorway is closed anti-clockwise in Surrey after a three-vehicle collision involving an ambulance, police say.
The collision involved an ambulance, a car and a HGV.
The driver of the car has been taken to hospital with serious leg injuries, while the occupants of the other vehicles were unhurt.
Surrey Police said in a statement the motorway was closed between junctions 8 and 9 after the incident at around 3.30am.
The force said at 6am that the stretch of road would remain closed for at least three hours, possibly into rush hour.
Police have asked for anyone who witnessed the collision to make contact by messaging on social media (@SurreyPolice), via chat on the Surrey Police website (surrey.police.uk) or by calling 101 quoting reference PR/20244107.
