BCH Tenants Project Fund

Blackpool Coastal Housing’s Tenants Project Fund (TFP) is making a difference to the lives of its customers and neighbourhoods.
The fund aims to assist projects that will improve life skills, health and wellbeing, strengthen communities and improve the environments. The funding for a project can be from under £500 up to £10,000.
Over the past 12 months the fund has supported the following projects:
The Freedom Centre
The Freedom Centre secured £10,000 from the TPF, to renovate the internal church space on Mereside. A full kitchen refurb was carried out enabling them to provide café facilities to the local community. They were able to recruit and train 12 volunteers from the local community. The centre also provides community services with around 100-150 customers each week.
Skool of Street
Skool of Street received £9,980 for their ‘Move-Matics’ project, a free year-long acrobatic and parkour programme for young people aged 11-16 years. 28 young people got involved, 19 of which were from BCH households.
Last Legs
Last Legs, a community arts organisation received £4,000 for their ‘Home is where the HeART is’ project. A series of creative workshops focusing on art activities that support people living in emergency housing accommodation and in isolation.
Molyneux Drive Friends and Neighbours
Molyneux Drive Friends and Neighbours used their £150 towards a 2021 Christmas party, this was the first time the residents in the area had a chance to meet face to face since the pandemic.
BCH, More Positive Together Service
Blackpool Coastal Housing’s More Positive Together Service received £8,377 towards providing counselling sessions, in partnership with Counselling in the Community.
BCH, Housing Support Service
Blackpool Coastal Housing’s, Housing Support Service received just under £500 to hold a series of Jubilee celebration events across five Community Centres, in June, with approximately 120 residents attending.
The ‘Friends of Grange’ group
The ‘Friends of Grange’ group arranged a Grange Park Christmas Parade project with their £7,000. A series of community workshops were held @theGrange where costumes and lanterns were made with Handmade Parade of Hebden Bridge.
BCH Neighbourhoods Service
Received £9,996 for a Hobart Place community garden project to develop a sustainable community garden, including accessible raised planters and benches for local residents, in partnership with Redeeming Our Communities.
Friends of Highfield Park
The Friend of Highfield Park received £10,000 toward their ‘Aim for the Top’ regeneration project which enabled them to purchase a state of the art climbing frame for all the children in the community.
