Lee Pomeroy killing: Darren Pencille denies murdering father on train in Surrey

A man accused of stabbing a father to death on a train in Surrey has denied murder.
Darren Pencille is charged with killing Lee Pomeroy on a train between Guildford and London on 4 January.
A post-mortem examination found Mr Pomeroy, 51, died as a result of multiple stab wounds, including an injury to his neck.
He was stabbed nine times.
Pencille, 36, was charged with murder and possession of a knife on a train.
Pencille’s partner, Chelsea Mitchell, 27, is accused of assisting an offender.
The mother-of-one is charged with transporting Pencille back to her home in Farnham after the murder and buying clippers and razors for him to change his appearance.
Mitchell is alleged to have made internet inquiries about CCTV in relation to the murder.
She also denies the charges.
They appeared in front of Mr Justice Edis, Pencille via video link from Belmarsh prison and Mitchell sat in the dock. She is on conditional bail.
The trial will be held at the Old Bailey, starting on 24 June, and is expected to last 10 days.
