Joshua vs Parker: Joseph Parker happy to have a post-fight drink with Anthony Joshua in Cardiff

Joseph Parker has welcomed a post-fight drink with Anthony Joshua after he trades punches with his rival heavyweight champion in Cardiff.
The New Zealander is expecting a brutal battle against Joshua, with 38 knockouts between the world title holders before Saturday’s unification clash at the Principality Stadium, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
But Parker says there will be no hard feelings once the fight is over and would happily have a beer with the British star.
He told Sky Sports: “Listen, after the fight – this is all part of the business and part of the sport of boxing – but after the fight if he wants to go, I would love to catch up with him.”
Parker partied with Tyson Fury, the cousin of his opponent Hughie Fury, after retaining his WBO title with a points win in September and would offer a drink to Joshua.
“I would, if he would like to, but you will have to find out from his side,” Parker added.
The 26-year-old will become a worldwide name if he pulls off an upset win over Joshua, the WBA ‘super’ and IBF champion, but Parker insists he would not be changed by fame or financial reward.
“Same person,” said Parker. “I have a great team around me, who keeps me grounded and keeps me on track, so come and have a talk after and we’ll find out.”
