Robbers threatened a woman with a knife before tying her up and stealing £70,000 of jewellery from a Hatton Garden store.
Police have released images of two men wanted for questioning over the incident on 7 March.
The woman was still tied to the chair when officers arrived at the scene in London’s jewellery quarter.
The thieves got inside by asking to speak to her father.
When she said he was not available, they pushed her down, threatened her with a knife and demanded the keys to the safe.
She refused and the men tied her to a chair and searched the building.
Diamonds, rings and earrings are among the £70,000 of items stolen, as was £4,000 in cash.
Hatton Garden was the site of a famous burglary in April 2015 when a gang stole millions of pounds of valuables from a building containing safety deposit boxes.
Detective Constable Alina Blain said: “This was a terrifying incident for the victim involved and one which she has to re-live every time she comes to work.
“We are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry and are very keen to speak to these two men or anyone who thinks they may be able to identify them.”
The suspects are described as “being in their 20s to early 30s, white with tanned skin and spoke with a European accent”.
One of the suspects was slim and wore a hat and glasses. He had a beard and moustache.
The other man had long brown hair, was clean shaven and also had a slim build.
