Harry Kane set to make early injury return for Tottenham

Harry Kane is on course to make an early return from injury, potentially in Tottenham’s Premier League game against Burnley later this month, Mauricio Pochettino says.
The England captain was initially ruled out until March after damaging ankle ligaments against Manchester United on January 13, but is progressing faster than expected with his rehab.
The match against Burnley on February 23 would see Kane return in time for Premier League clashes with Chelsea and Arsenal, as well as Spurs’ Champions League last-16 second leg against Borussia Dortmund.
“He’s doing well. He’s doing fantastic,” Pochettino said in his press conference ahead of Tottenham’s meeting with Leicester on Sunday, live on Sky Sports.
“We have to stop him every day, because he wants to be ahead of his recovery and he’s very optimistic and his determination to play as soon as possible is unbelievable.”
“If you see him, he’s nearly ready to play, but we need to be realistic too. I think he’s so close to come back again, not for Sunday and not for Wednesday, but we’ll see after.”
