Glastonbury 2019: Lewis Capaldi, Dave and The Proclaimers added to bill as full line-up revealed

Written by on 29/05/2019

Lewis Capaldi, Dave and The Proclaimers have been added to the Glastonbury festival bill, with the full line-up and stage times now revealed.

They join previously announced headliners Stormzy, The Killers and The Cure, as well as acts including Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus, Liam Gallagher, George Ezra and Janet Jackson.

New additions were announced by Glastonbury on Wednesday as organisers also announced stages, dates and timings for the hundreds of artists set to perform.

While the main headliners will close the festival each day on the famous Pyramid Stage, Tame Impala, The Chemical Brothers and Christine And The Queens have now been confirmed as the three headliners for the Other Stage.

Other acts include Lauryn Hill, Johnny Marr, Billie Eilish and Years and Years.

For Capaldi, the announcement of his set on the Other Stage comes after his debut album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, topped the charts and became the fastest-selling album of the year earlier this month.

The singer-songwriter, who has become almost as famous for his social media presence as his music, posted details on his Instagram page, joking: “I’M PLAYING GLASTONBURY. Saturday at 4pm on the Other Stage if you want to see me bottle it and end my career.”

Announcing the news on her own Instagram, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis said: “IT’S HERE! Full line up with timings now up on our website… #glastonbury2019.”

The festival takes place from 26-30 June, with more than 2,800 performances across dozens of stages.

Other acts on the bill include Abba tribute act Bjorn Again, who open the Pyramid Stage on the Friday; Hollywood star Jeff Goldbum, with his band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra; and Japanese pop-metal band Babymetal.

There will also be a tribute to Prodigy frontman Keith Flint, who died in March. The band had been set to perform at the festival.

Following Glastonbury tradition, there is a TBC space for The Park stage on the Saturday of the festival. Previous acts to have performed surprise gigs include Pulp, Elbow and Radiohead.
