Funniest Edinburgh joke 2019: What do you think of this year’s winner

A joke involving vegetables has been voted the best gag at this year’s Edinburgh Festival.

The prize went to Swedish surrealist Olaf Falafel for his one liner: “I keep randomly shouting out ‘Broccoli’ and ‘Cauliflower’ – I think I might have florets.”
It was picked by 41% of the 2,000 members of the public who voted on a list compiled by comedy critics, something which “just goes to show the public are genuinely stupid,” the comedian told Sky News.
Mr Falafel, who is also an author of children’s books, said ideas come to him in “really strange places.
“In the supermarket, or the shower… So when I’m naked.”
(Boom, boom).
