Former Blue Peter star John Leslie denies sexual assault

Former Blue Peter presenter John Leslie has denied sexually assaulting a woman more than 10 years ago.
Leslie appeared at Southwark Crown Court in London and denied sexually touching the woman without her consent.
The woman was 30 at the time of the alleged offence in the capital on 5 December 2008.
Leslie, 54, presented children’s show Blue Peter from 1989 to 1994, as well as Wheel of Fortune and ITV’s This Morning.
The judge released Leslie on unconditional bail and he will appear at the court again for trial on 16 March 2020.
