Written by on 29/11/2018

Damian Lillard drained a franchise-record 10 three-pointers as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Orlando Magic.

Lillard, who scored 41 points as the Blazers held on for a 115-112 win, broke Portland’s record for most threes in a single game, beating the nine set by himself and former team-mate Nic Batum. He shot 13-of-22 from the field, including 10-of-15 from beyond the arc.

Lillard started his record-setting shooting night in style, connecting from long distance twice in the first quarter before adding another in the second period.

The All-Star guard saved his best for third quarter, knocking down three consecutive treys to help eradicate a 15-point Magic advantage.

Lillard’s sixth three-pointer of the third quarter (and ninth overall) put Portland ahead 95-84 when and nailed his 10th of the game with 33.9 seconds remaining.

With the Magic battling to get back into the game in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, Lillard scored with a runner and made two free throws to help the Blazers over the line.
