Chris Foerster resigns as Miami Dolphins offensive line coach over video leak

Written by on 09/10/2017

Miami Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster has resigned after a video emerged of him appearing to snort a white powder.

Foerster has left his role with the Dolphins after a year at the franchise and has confirmed in a statement that he will be seeking professional help.

"I am resigning from my position with the Miami Dolphins and accept full responsibility for my actions," the 55-year-old said.

"I want to apologise to the organisation and my sole focus is on getting the help that I need with the support of my family and medical professionals."

After the Dolphins were made aware of the video, they met with Foerster to discuss his actions and accepted his resignation, while condemning his behaviour in their statement.

"We were made aware of the video late last night and have no tolerance for this behaviour," they said.

"After speaking with Chris this morning, he accepted full responsibility and we accepted his resignation effective immediately.

"Although Chris is no longer with the organisation, we will work with him to get the help he needs during this time."
