Love Island is in the running for the entertainment award, up against Britain’s Got Talent and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

In the acting categories, The Virtues’ Stephen Graham, Top Boy’s Micheal Ward, Gentleman Jack’s Suranne Jones and Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa are among the nominees.

Chernobyl also receives further nods, for best actor for Jared Harris, and the drama writer prize for Craig Mazin, while Derry Girls is also up for several awards.

Sky Atlantic, BBC Three and Channel 5 are in the running for the channel of the year prize, while Aisling Bea, Tanya Moodie and Tim Renkow are nominated for the breakthrough award for This Way Up, Motherland and Jerk respectively.

And in the battle of the soaps, Casualty, Coronation Street and EastEnders will go head to head for the soap and continuing drama award.
