Bellew vs Haye 2: Tony Bellew says David Haye is more dangerous if he hits a certain weight for rematch

Tony Bellew has admitted that David Haye will be “extremely dangerous” if he is under a specific weight for their rematch.
The British rivals will be reunited at Friday’s weigh-in ahead of this Saturday’s heavyweight clash at The O2, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and both men are expected to be lighter for their second bout.
Bellew will be keeping a close eye on the scales as he believes Haye will be more threatening for longer in the fight, if he displays a leaner physique.
“If he’s under a certain weight in my mind, he’s extremely dangerous for a much longer period,” Bellew told Sky Sports.
“But if he’s over a certain limit that I think he’ll be, then he’s going to be very dangerous for a short time. Either way, he’s going to be dangerous. I’ve got to be careful, because I’m not stupid. This fight could end in 20 seconds.”
The Merseysider moved up a division for the first fight, registering a weight of 15st 3lbs 8oz, and no longer believes that he needs to pack on pounds to physically compete with Haye.
Bellew said: “I was pretty sure mentally that I had to weigh a certain weight to be able to absorb what I absorbed, to be able to push him back and be physical with him.
“The fact of the matter is – he’s not really a heavyweight. He is another cruiserweight like me. We’re just two cruiserweights who don’t have to make the limit.”
