Bella Thorne criticises Whoopi Goldberg for ‘disgusting’ nude selfie comments

Bella Thorne has criticised Whoopi Goldberg for making “disgusting” comments against taking nude selfies.

Oscar-winning Goldberg, 63, told US chat show The View that she spared little sympathy for those who have their intimate photos leaked online, saying people shouldn’t be taking such pictures in the first place.
Goldberg made the comments after Thorne, 21, was hacked and blackmailed with topless selfies she had taken.
The Twilight actress responded by posting the pictures online herself, saying she did so to “take the power back”.
Goldberg said: “I don’t care how old you are. You don’t take nude photos of yourself.
“Once you take that picture, it goes into the cloud and it’s available to any hacker who wants it and if you don’t know that in 2019, then this is an issue.”
“I’m sorry, you don’t get to do that.”
In a series of tearful Instagram videos, Thorne said she found Goldberg’s comments “sick and honestly disgusting”.

She added: “Your view on this matter is honestly awful and I hope you change your mindset as you are on a show talking to young girls.”
Thorne then said she felt “offended” on behalf of “anyone out there who has ever taken a sexy photo”, and made specific reference to fellow actress Jennifer Lawrence, whose nude photos were leaked in a hack in 2014.
“I’m not going to lie, I want to say I feel pretty disgusting, you know, I feel pretty disgusting,” she said.
