JK Rowling has posted a video of her enviable library on Twitter, revealing she’s spent lockdown organising her books by colour.

“Rearranging books is a very soothing lockdown activity,” she posted on her social media, alongside a clip of her bookshelves.

Earlier this month Rowling announced she had fully recovered after suffering a suspected case of coronavirus.

The author followed up her video by responding to people asking where her own books were, saying “yes, of course I’ve got Harry Potter books!”

“These aren’t my only bookshelves, they’re simply the ones I decided to arrange by colour during tea breaks.”

The video revealed her library also includes a quote by the 14th-century poet Edmund Spenser, painted along the top of her shelves.

The quote is from his poem The Faerie Queene, and reads: “It is the mind that maketh good of ill, that maketh wretch or happy, rich or poor.”

The Harry Potter author has previously said she could not be sure she’d had COVID-19 as she had not been tested, but that she had suffered all the symptoms of the disease.

She also criticised social media influencers for pressuring followers to learn a new skill during the pandemic saying that getting through something was more than enough.
