Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding date revealed

Written by on 07/02/2020

The date of Princess Beatrice’s wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has been announced by Buckingham Palace.

The couple are due to tie the knot on Friday 29 May 2020 after getting engaged in Italy last September.

The wedding will take place at the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.

It will be followed by a private reception, hosted by her grandmother the Queen, in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

Princess Beatrice’s husband-to-be, who is also known as Edo, is a businessman and property tycoon, and was reportedly a friend of the family before they began their relationship in the autumn of 2018.

They got together after Beatrice split from her long-term boyfriend Dave Clark, whom she had been with for 10 years.

It will be the fourth royal wedding in recent years, following the marriage of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston earlier this year, and the nuptials of Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank and Harry and Meghan in 2018.

Beatrice’s father Prince Andrew is currently engulfed in controversy over his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in a Manhattan jail cell last August.

The Duke of York has retired from public royal duties for the foreseeable future.
