William and Kate remove Harry and Meghan from charity name

Prince William and Kate have officially renamed their charity, removing Prince Harry and Meghan from the title.
In documents published by Companies House, William and Kate’s foundation is now called The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been partners in the foundation.
The name change marks the final step in Harry and Meghan’s split from the joint charity, with plans under way to set up their own Sussex Royal foundation.
Last week, they appointed influential media executive Karen Blackett, chairwoman of MediaCom UK, as their first trustee.
The plan for their own separate charity was unveiled in June this year, and followed reports of rifts within the royal household between the two brothers and their wives.
But Palace sources denied the split in the charity was due to any kind of feud, saying it was “largely about preparing both couples for their future roles, which are obviously on divergent tracks”.
A fee of £10 was paid to Companies House by William and Kate’s charity to file the “notice of change of name by resolution”, and comes just 14 months after they amended the name to include Meghan when she married into the Royal Family.
The decision to split the foundation came as a surprise after the royal couples talked about how excited they were to be working together at a Royal Foundation forum in London in February 2018.
At the time Harry said “working as family does have its challenges”, but insisted “we’re stuck together for the rest of our lives”.
