Teenager stabbed to death near Prince George’s school in Battersea

A teenager has been stabbed to death near Prince George’s school.
Emergency crews were called to Wolsey Court in Battersea, south London, shortly before 8pm on Tuesday.
The victim, who is believed to be 19 years old, was found with stab injuries and died at the scene about 45 minutes later, the Metropolitan Police said.
He was discovered less than half a mile from Prince George’s primary school, Thomas’s Battersea.
A murder investigation has now been launched.
The victim’s next of kin has been informed and a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
No arrests have been made and police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan wrote on Twitter: “Heartbreaking to hear of the death of a young man in Battersea. My thoughts tonight are with his family and friends.”
