Porn star fined for threesome on Tube after footage posted on Twitter

Written by on 02/02/2019

A porn star has been fined for having a threesome in front of passengers on the London Underground.

George Mason, 35, had sex with former boyfriend Nicholas Mullan, 24, and an unidentified third man on a Northern Line train between Leicester Square and Waterloo.

The incident spanned three stops, which would have taken approximately seven minutes.

It happened in July 2017 but was not reported until February last year after footage was posted on Twitter by an account called “Hung Young Brit”, which was linked to Mason.

He and Mullan admitted a charge of outraging public decency after the video was brought to the attention of police by a gay man who thought it “crossed the line”.

Both were sentenced on Friday after magistrates were shown stills from the clip, which prosecutor Robert Simpson said featured “various sexual acts”.

Westminster Magistrates’ Court also heard how another piece of footage of the incident had found its way on to an escort website in Northern Ireland, with a caption boasting that it was “100% genuine footage”.

Mr Simpson said the clip on the escort site – titled “Full-on live sex in front of the general public on Tube train” – had been shared by Mullan, who also posted his mobile number under the name “Toby”.

According to defence lawyer Howard Cohen, the explicit video was recorded as the pair travelled back to a flat owned by Mason after a day out.

He said they had been in a relationship for “some time” but were not together when the incident happened.

Mr Cohen said the footage was uploaded to Twitter with a “salacious” title to attract attention after “the idea came about that they would have sexual relations on the train”.

Both men have been subject to a “virulent and quite disgusting campaign of hate” on social media since details of the incident emerged, he added.

Chairing the bench, Lucinda Lubbock described their actions as “unpleasant” but said being “humiliated in the court of social media” may have acted as “a lesson to both of you”.

Mason, of Southwark, southeast London, was fined £1,000 for his “more serious” role, having been responsible for the clip ending up on Twitter.

He was also handed an 18-month community order and told to pay £170 in costs.

Mullan, from Belfast, was not fined but told to pay £170 costs and carry out a 12-month community order.
