Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez signs new deal until 2024

Davinson Sanchez has signed a new deal with Tottenham which ties him to the club until the summer of 2024.
Sanchez only joined Spurs at the start of 2017-18, for a fee of £38.4m from Ajax, and he enjoyed a successful first season in the Premier League.
His new deal is effectively a one-year extension on the six-year contract he initially signed last summer.
The Colombia centre-back helped Tottenham qualify for the Champions League after quickly establishing himself as a first-team regular.
Sanchez, 21, ended up making 41 appearances in all competitions and proved an able partner for Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld at the heart of Mauricio Pochettino’s defence.
He is also part of Colombia’s provisional World Cup squad and, should he make the final 23, will have the chance to add to his eight international caps in Russia.
