Whyte vs Browne: Dillian Whyte says win over Lucas Browne will put pressure on Deontay Wilder

Dillian Whyte wants to force Deontay Wilder to answer more questions about a WBC title fight by defeating Lucas Browne impressively in front of an American audience.
The British heavyweight battles Browne at The O2 this Saturday night, live on Sky Sports, with the winner moving within touching distance of a shot at WBC champion Wilder.
Repeated verbal challenges from Whyte have been dismissed by Wilder, but ‘The Body Snatcher’ hopes to apply more pressure on the American with an emphatic victory in this weekend’s fight, which is being shown by the major US television network HBO.
“We’ve been chasing the big fights and this fight automatically should take me a step closer and put me in mandatory position,” Whyte exclusively told Sky Sports.
“People are already asking these questions, but it will definitely push the question a bit more.
“I know Joshua isn’t going to fight him next. I doubt the people are going to want to see him fight anybody next. They are going to want to see him fight someone proper, so we’ll see.”
Wilder branded Whyte a “peasant” and promised to defeat him with “one hand tied behind my back” in a previous post-fight interview.
But the Brixton man expects the ‘Bronze Bomber’ to be one of the interested spectators in America when the first bell rings this weekend.
“He underestimates me,” says Whyte. “He says he can beat me with one hand behind his back. I know he’s talking rubbish.
“Of course he’s going to be watching me.”
Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed Whyte could also receive a rematch with Anthony Joshua, who puts his world titles at stake in a unification clash with Joseph Parker on March 31, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
“I want to have a fight with him too,” said Whyte. “We both want it.
“It doesn’t matter where we are with our careers. If there is a chance to fight each other, we’ll always fight each other. We’ll always want the opportunity.”
