Jurassic World sequel will ‘bring back element of fear’

To announce the first trailer for the Jurassic World sequel, director J A Bayona spoke to Sky News about "bringing back the fear".
Jurassic fans will be excited to hear that, according to Bayona, the fifth instalment of the franchise will bring back all the old dinosaurs – and a few new ones.
"You have never seen a Jurassic Park movie with as many dinosaurs as this one," Bayona told Sky ahead of the release of the trailer.
"You will find all the dinosaurs that you love – the T-Rex, the Brachiosaurus, the Triceratops," he added.
"But at the same time, you are going to find a lot of new dinosaurs."
Bayona said he did not want to "spoil any surprises", but guaranteed us Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom "will deliver" on the dino-expectations.
Bayona is picking up where director Colin Trevorrow left off, helming a second generation of explorers, while bringing back a beloved old character.
Dr Ian Malcolm, played by Jeff Goldblum, will be back in the franchise, which Bayona says was an "amazing" experience.
"It was amazing to bring back Malcolm after 20 years. It was so exciting because he is such a beloved and iconic character from the saga, that it was just an honour to work with him."
Fallen Kingdom will bring back actors Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and BD Wong – plus Justice Smith, James Cromwell and Toby Jones.
Bayona made his career in horror with the Spanish film The Orphanage in 2008, and told us he wanted to "bring back the fear" in Fallen Kingdom.
"When Colin Trevorow told me the idea of being part of a Jurassic Park movie I thought: ‘What was my first impression watching Jurassic Park?" he told us.
"Because I wanted to go back to the first reaction that I had to the first movie. And I remember the sense of wonder of being in front of a dinosaur for the first time but I also remember the sense of terror of being in front of the T Rex," he added.
"So I wanted to bring back this element of fear. So this movie will have action but also a lot of suspense."
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will open in cinemas 8 June 2018.
