Galgate road delays for flooding recovery work

Lancashire County Council is warning motorists to expect delays on the A6 at Galgate, south of Lancaster, over the weekend due to efforts to help residents recover from this week’s flooding incident.
A lane will be closed on the A6 between the junctions with Salford Road and Chapel Lane on Saturday 25 November and Sunday 26 November to allow Lancaster City Council safe access to residents’ properties to help them clear flood-damaged possessions.
Drivers are warned to expect delays, and to avoid this area if possible.
