Several residents remain missing after the tragedy at Grenfell Tower, which had 120 flats, housing hundreds of people.
The first victim to be confirmed dead is 23-year-old Mohammed Alhajali, a Syrian refugee.
His death was announced on Thursday by Abdulaziz Almashi, a co-founder of the Syria Solidarity Campaign.
He described Mr Alhajali as a "kind, charitable man" who was "full of passion for his family", and who had studied civil engineering in the hope of one day returning to Syria.
Some people who were initially reported as missing have now been traced in hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
However, concerns are growing for the following residents who have not been heard from since the blaze.
The Hashim family
All five members of the Hashim family are missing after the blaze.

Rania Ibrham has not been heard from since around 3am on Wednesday, when she uploaded a Facebook Live video from the burning tower.
Ms Ibrham lived on the top floor of the building with her two children, who are three and five.
The video shows her running to a smoke-filled corridor to try and find help before looking to the street below her window.

During the call Miss Trevisan said "goodbye" and thanked her mother "for what you have done for me", the lawyer added.
Miss Trevisan and Mr Gottardi had only recently moved in and lived on the 23rd floor.
Mr Gottardi’s cousin wrote on Facebook that he was praying for the pair, saying: "I don’t have no news from them since last night and their mobile phones are off."
