Romford: Man and woman killed in eight-vehicle crash

Two people have died in an eight-vehicle crash in east London.
The man in his 40s and woman in her 50s were pronounced dead at the scene on Squirrels Heath Road in Romford.
A pedestrian was also involved in the incident, London Fire Brigade (LFB) said.
Three people trapped in their cars were taken to hospital after being released by fire crews.
A further three people were also taken for treatment. None is in a life-threatening condition.
One vehicle was left on its side, wedged against a bus, while blue and black hatchbacks were at an angle on the other side of the road.
A silver Range Rover was also involved but appeared to be undamaged.
LFB said it spent two hours working on the incident after being called at 1.19pm.
Three fire engines and two rescue units were called in and a 200-metre cordon set up.
