Two women accuse R Kelly of sexual misconduct in 1990s

Two women have alleged that R Kelly arranged for them to be brought to his room for a threesome when they were underage.
Latresa Scaff and Rochelle Washington’s revelations come six weeks after the documentary Surviving R Kelly examined old sexual misconduct allegations against the R&B star.
Ms Scaff said she was 16 and Ms Washington was 15 when they attended a concert and after-party in Baltimore in the mid-1990s.
Ms Scaff alleges Kelly, whose legal name is Robert Kelly, had a member of his entourage at the after-party give them drugs and alcohol, before telling them to meet the star at his hotel suite.
She said: “We both went to the hotel, thinking there was going to be another party there.”
When they entered the room, the women allege that Kelly exposed himself before indicating that he wanted to have a threesome.
The singer allegedly had sex with Ms Scaff, who was claimed to be unable to consent because she was under the influence of alcohol and cannabis.
Ms Washington said she managed to escape and hid in the bathroom.
“When I first met R Kelly that night, I was very happy and excited because I was young and starstruck,” Ms Scaff said.
“However now that I am an adult, I feel hurt by what he did to me when I was only 16 years old and under the influence of alcohol and marijuana which had been provided to me at his after-party.”
Ms Washington told reporters that, now she is a mother, she feels she was taken advantage of by the singer.
“I just want justice for anyone that was hurt or violated,” she said. “I want victims to know it’s not their fault.”
Kelly’s lawyer, Steve Greenberg, has said his client never knowingly had sex with an underage woman.
AP reports that an email was left with Mr Greenberg requesting comment about the fresh allegations.
The 52-year-old has faced allegations of sexual misconduct with underage girls for decades. He has denied them.
In 2008, he was acquitted of child pornography charges.
