Keya Morgan faces five charges, including false imprisonment, fraud and forgery, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest, a Los Angeles Superior Court spokeswoman said.

Lee, who created some of the most popular superhero characters in history including Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk and Iron Man, died last November aged 95.

Months before his death, a temporary restraining order was issued against Morgan following allegations of elder abuse.

At the time, a lawyer for Lee said Morgan – a New-York based memorabilia collector – had “inserted himself into Mr Lee’s life”, following the death of the comic book writer’s wife.

Morgan denied allegations of abuse last year.

Court documents from 2018 show that Morgan was accused of taking control of Lee’s home in Hollywood Hills and hiring security guards to keep away Lee’s family and friends.

He then moved Lee to a new home that he was not familiar with, it is claimed.

As welling as creating dozens of Marvel superheros, Lee also appeared in all of Marvel’s films before his death, including Iron Man and Avengers: End Game.
