Robbie Williams and Take That reveal set list for online reunion gig in lockdown

Robbie Williams and Take That are back – not for good, but for a one-off special online reunion to “lift the nation’s spirits” during the lockdown.

The band are getting back together on Friday night for a performance in aid of music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, and Crew Nation, which supports concert crew workers.

Fans have been looking forward to the special event, which will be broadcast by comparethemarket.com and is being billed as the debut Meerkat Music event to boost morale amid the ongoing coronavirus lockdown.

With just another day to wait, Williams and his old band-mates have revealed the songs they’ll be performing.

The four-piece will kick-off the show – from their own homes – with Take That’s 2008 UK number one hit Greatest Day, and end with Never Forget, which also topped the charts back in 1995.

The six-song set will also include Shine, Back For Good, The Flood and Pray, but the website’s customers will also be able to watch extra performances of Everything Changes and Rule The World.

It will mark the first time Williams has played with the group – which currently consists of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen – since 2018.

He joined them on stage for a rendition of Shine during the final of The X Factor when he was a judge.

Friday’s gig will be broadcast on the Meerkat Music YouTube channel from 8pm.

A spokesman for comparethemarket.com said it had decided to make the majority of the show free to view for all after being “blown away” by the initial response.
