Matt and Luke Goss have found themselves in the limelight once again thanks to Bros: When The Screaming Stops, which became one of the unlikely hits of the Christmas TV schedule.

With unintentionally funny quotes attracting comparisons to The Office and Spinal Tap, the documentary followed the twin brothers as they prepared for a comeback after almost 30 years apart, with two sold-out gigs at the O2 arena in London in 2017.

Now, following the programme’s success, they have announced a “coming home” show in Brixton for July.

Drummer Luke said: “After the phenomenal response to the Bros film we’re genuinely looking forward to a more intimate show in our home town.

“This show is going to be live, loud, up close and personal. See you there!”

Before their O2 arena comeback, the brothers had not played together since 77,000 fans turned out to see them at Wembley Stadium in 1989.

They were the youngest band to ever headline the venue, and also performed 19 shows at the nearby Wembley Arena.

Propelled by their biggest hit When Will I Be Famous, debut album Push was seven times platinum, and went to number one in 20 countries.

Matt went on to become a solo performer, with a Las Vegas residency, while Luke moved into acting and directing, with credits including Hellboy 2 and Blade 2.

BBC show When The Screaming Stops detailed the band’s rise to fame and subsequent split, and explored the often strained relationship between the two brothers.

Both brothers posted detail of the show on social media, with Matt telling his 119,000 Twitter followers: “Can’t wait to see you guys!”

:: The Bros “coming home” show takes place at O2 Academy Brixton on Friday 5 July. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday
