Yellow Warning issued for rain in South Cumbria on Saturday

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain which is likely to affect South Cumbria and parts of the Lake District this weekend.
The yellow warning is set to be in force from 4am on Saturday (2oth February) morning through until 10pm due to heavy rainfall, with around 30-50mm likely quite widely. According to the Met Office, the rainfall could be heavier on higher ground in the Lake District:
“Persistent rainfall, heavy at times, will fall throughout Saturday. 30-50 mm is likely quite widely, with 60-80 mm possible over higher ground around the Lakes.”
Some rain is forecast to continue into Sunday, but turning drier and brighter in the afternoon.
The advice is to check before you travel and beware that heavy rainfall can cause some disruption or delays.
