Teenage woman charged with attempted murder

A 19-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder following an incident inside an address in Wigton on Saturday night (29 July).

Officers were called to Brindlefield at around 10.30pm on Saturday night where a 17-year-old male was found to have suffered suspected stab wounds to his chest. He was taken to the RVI in Newcastle and remains in hospital today in a serious but stable condition.

Zoe Adams, 19, of Brindlefield, Wigton, has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court this morning (31 July).
