MP celebrates 200 years of the Westmorland Gazette

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has paid tribute to local newspaper The Westmorland Gazette as it celebrates its 200th year.
To mark 200 years of the paper, its history is now the subject of an exhibition – “From Wordsworth to the Web” – at the Museum of Lakeland Life and Industry in Kendal.
Tim said: “The Gazette is integral to our community. It is a quality newspaper and at the same time it is warm and human.
“The Westmorland Gazette is as iconic as the Lakes themselves – here’s to the next 200 years…”
