Investigation launched following serious assault in Windermere

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by officers investigating a serious assault that occurred in Windermere.
At approximately 5.20pm yesterday (December 16) two men were involved in an altercation on Glebe Road. A 69-year-old male from Sunderland is currently in a critical, but stable, condition at the Royal Preston Hospital after being punched.
Officers would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the assault to get in touch. They are also appealing for the other male involved, who was walking a dog, to make contact with them.
