A team of volunteers have successfully raised £4000 for their charity by broadcasting live for 26 hours over Easter Weekend.

Bay Trust Radio, which celebrates 42 years of broadcasting this year, provides a local radio service to North Lancashire and South Cumbria with studios based in Kendal and Blackpool hospitals.

The fundraising broadcast was live from 9am until 10pm on Saturday and Easter Sunday. It included special guests talking about topics ranging from farming to health and well-being, as well as musical memories and live music performances from local singers.

John Williamson, Station Manager, said:

“I am so proud of our volunteers for raising such a phenomenal amount of money over two days. Thank you to everybody who has supported us and donated to our fundraiser.”
