Be vigilant warning to businesses following Ings burglary

Businesses are being warned to be vigilant following a burglary at Ings Filling Station in Kendal.

Cumbria Police were called to incident at 1:49am Thursday (24th January).

Entry was forced to the premises causing damage to a door. It is believed items including cigarettes, alcohol and petty cash were taken.

Police Constable, Chris Appleyard said:

“We believe this incident involved up to five men, dressed in black and with their faces covered, who have entered the county with criminal intent.

“We, and our partner Forces are working together to identify the perpetrators. In light of this incident we would urge businesses to stay vigilant; check CCTV cameras are working, check all doors and windows are locked, check alarms are working, secure high value stock and where possible remove all cash.”
