Written by on 26/07/2019

Two men have been arrested after a 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in north London.

Police were called at around 11.45pm on Thursday to Ainsworth House in Boundary Road, Hampstead, where a 20-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were found with stab injuries.

Both men were taken to hospital where the younger man died from his injuries. The other remains in a serious, but stable condition.

Two men, aged 20 and 23, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in custody.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were also called to an address on Friday night in Lancefield Street, north Kensington, where a 20-year-old man was found with a stab wound to his leg.

He remains in hospital in a non-life threatening condition.

The force said detectives had linked this stabbing to the murder investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Stancombe said: “My team is working hard to establish the circumstances of this violent incident, and our thoughts and condolences are with the family of the man who died last night.

“The two arrests were made following an armed stop of a blue, Audi A3 in the early hours of this morning in Shirland Road.

“This has already been a fast paced investigation and these efforts will continue throughout the coming hours and days.

“We are keeping an open mind about motive and appeal for information from anyone we have not yet spoken to.”
