Radio North Network
In 2004, John Williamson, the Station Manager of Kendal Hospital Radio (now Bay Trust Radio) and Craig Robinson, Station Manager at Auckland Hospital Radio, came up with the idea to share some mutually beneficial programmes. The name Radio North Network came together and in 2004 we started broadcasting.
For 6 hours a week live programmes are shared between the two stations. Both stations benefit from well prepared live programmes which attract large audiences on all hospital sites that tune in. Using IP technology, programmes can be transmitted from either studio in the network with full video coverage for the patients in Bishop Auckland Hospital who can see the studio on the Hospedia bedside units.
If you’re a hospital broadcaster and are interested in carrying content from the network please contact us.
